I’m personally trying to follow this method since I do find it helpful and not in any way major or harmful to my levels of enjoyment during the summer. Enjoy reading :D

Summer is personally my favorite season. I’m a person that gets cold easily, likes to go out and get sunburnt and swimming is usually on my mind. So Obviously studying calculus isn’t the first option that pops up in my head when the holiday break starts, BUT…

That what separates the greats from the best. Improvement has to be like a clock, never stops and always keeps moving. That being said if you don’t spend the bigger chunk of your break enjoying quality time with your loved one then yes you will become depressed…unless you already are.

The first advice I always take when it comes to getting things done is always to distribute the work to smaller parts, that’s pretty much basic knowledge. And for this occasion when I’m saying small I mean SMALL, as if tiny, barely significant. It’s your time to relax no ? SO make sure to do that. Your phone is the solution for a lot of your problems in life believe it or not. It’s your weapon that you decide where to shoot your target, is it your goals or your own foot ? The short attention span that TikTok and Instagram created is truly one of the worst causes in man-kind, So or goal is to use that to our advantage. The initial process will indeed take effort and time, but if you’re not willing to do that then I hope your finals season does get crammed like sardines.

Step 1) Download : Google Keep

Google Keep will be your tiny notebook and pencil that the waiter holds when taking your order, you’re gonna take notes instead. I always use this app since it’s always connected with all your devices and (Google Docs). Our brain goes through so much every day from names to events to sounds to anything that would distract you as a person, so writing this small note from the book or the course you’re watching does make a difference over time when it adds up.

Step 2) Set a Daily Timer

A daily reminder is indeed annoying, something you would wanna stay from especially during the holiday when it’s your time to relax and not wanting someone or something to keep poking you about a task you’re trying to ignore. But being responsible is not supposed to be fun or enjoyable, and that’s what separates productive people from the others. A daily timer or alarm around night or mid day where when you’re not at the beach you’re jus chilling under the AC, then it’s not that bad and trust me it won’t effect your life in any major way.

Step 3) Utilize Toilet Breaks and Meal Times

As funny and goofy as it sounds, let’s say you sit on the toilet for around 5–10 min on a daily basis, in each of those sessions where you release yourself you open Duolingo or your PDF book or Your mini C programming app, every day for 60 days. That’s 10 Hours of productivity that you don’t even feel when you keep it consistently. When the end of the summer comes and you get back to uni with knowledge that you don’t remember learning then there’s your reason.

Those are 3 Simple steps that you can follow easily and will help you out with your journey during university. Small things like this on a daily basis separates the greats from the best so hope this gives you an edge over others.
